Beauty and the Beast - Tale as old as time.

Someone once told me “All Disney songs make a lot of sense, they are timeless”.

It made me ponder on all the times I have sat down in a daze and dreamt big dreams. Big, happy, colourful dreams.
I’ve dreamt of things that most people would consider, ‘childish’.
I don’t blame them, for fairies and elves for instance were stories created by parents to keep their little ones entertained. But the fact remains that children were entertained. No. They were more than merely entertained they were enraptured by these tales. I am envious of children who spend each moment awed by iconic characters like Mickey Mouse, letting their minds wander into far off places only known to them. No-one tampers with their imagination.

I’ve realised that as we grow older we all spend our lives trying to accomplish goals and grab at numerous opportunities. We are all running a dangerously competitive race willingly or unwillingly. Most of us are so wrapped up in our daily routines that we forget to notice, let alone appreciate the bigger picture, the wonders of this life.

Disney helps us recall the magic we dusted off somewhere along the way. Those who think it childish to dream, and to be immersed in the rainbow of colour of epic Disney movies; they are missing out on too much. They’ve grown up and tucked away the glitter and glam of their imagination.
So, dream as if you’ll live forever and live as if you’ll die today.

I post this song, telling you what someone once told me. “All Disney songs make a lot of sense, they are indeed timeless.”

Just Like Music

Albert Einstein once said ‘If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music’. Amen to that!

Music to me means a lot. Music to me means the world. Music to me is life. Music to me is everything that I am, will be and can be. Music makes me understand, feel, empathise, sympathise, fall in love, fall out of love. Without music, I would be nothing. Music is in every atom of my body. I may not know all the songs, all the artists or all the forms of music, but I know that without music I am not me. I would be dull, I would be boring, I would be ignorant. I can go on for days about how one particular song takes me back to a different place and time, I can explain for hours the meaning of a song, in minutes I can fantasise about the ideal situation for that particular song and it only takes me seconds to get chills every time I even think about listening to it. I can relate any emotion or any situation through music. The right song at the right moment can bring anyone to tears. If someone took that right away from me, I will not survive. I would say, go now go, walk out the door, just turn around now, you’re not welcome anymore!

So sing as though no one can hear you and dance as though no one is watching you and you will live life as though heaven is on earth.

4 Non Blondes - What's up

We all live in a world governed by norms and standards. Who created these norms? Who is to say that it is the way things are 'supposed to be done'? If it doesn't make sense to you then hell, it doesn't make sense to me either!
This life is what you make of it. Respect every standard and every norm. Try your best to conform but don't restrict yourself. So fight. Fight to take a stand and find your freedom!!

Colbie Caillat - One Fine Wire

Paramore - The Only Exception

"Someday someone will come into your life and make you realise why it never worked out with anyone else"

John Mayer - My Stupid Mouth

Colbie Caillat - Oxygen

Cosmic Love - Florence + Machine

This song needs to be listened to with an open mind. To me, it is about passion and love!

A relationship builds between a certain 'him' and 'her'. Caught up in a daze she is sinking deeper and deeper now emersed in rays of Pink, Orange and Blue of his psychadelic light. He reaches out. Electricity in the air, the magic in his finger tips draws her to his sweet escape. With each touch, each kiss, each sensation they intoxicate each other driving them to into madness, insanity, the doomed state of love and intense passion.
